About Sarah Grey

Sarah Grey is an editor based in Pittsburgh, PA, and a laureate of the ACES Robinson Prize for Excellence in Copyediting. She has been a development editor with O’Reilly Media since 2019, working with programmers, software architects, and business leaders to produce high-quality books and learning materials for the tech industry. She also serves as copyeditor to the bands They Might Be Giants and OK Go! and very occasionally takes on other freelance work.

For most of the 2010s, Sarah owned and operated Grey Editing, an independent language-services business, where she worked on a wide variety of academic and trade books, journals, articles, and websites, mostly in the humanities and political/social science fields, and provided indexing, copywriting, and other services.
